La Candela Salsa Academy offers a comprehensive and structured Salsa Cubana program in Berlin. The program features a progressive five-level curriculum, from Beginners to Advanced, where students build a solid foundation, refine technique, develop musicality and styling, and master complex Cuban partnerwork and Rueda de Casino.
The program includes an introduction to Salsa Cubana and common dancefloor moves, technique foundation with body movement, timing, and core elements, intermediate styling and partnerwork, and advanced figures with Rueda combinations. Each level consists of multiple 4-class blocks taught in closed groups, allowing for consistent progression. Students can take blocks in any order within a level and move up once confident with the material. No partner is required, and classes are leader/follower balanced.
La Candela emphasizes technique, musicality, and Cuban cultural authenticity, aiming to turn dancers into artists with the support of certified instructors and over 30 years of experience. Classes are held in Berlin with flexible scheduling, and a Video Academy and practice events are available for students.
