Funky Mambo presents a special salsa/mambo workshop with Alexistyle and Iselin: “Deep Dive into Social Dance Musicality Vol.4 – Latin Roots & Grooves: from Ancestral Beats to Cha Cha Street.” This immersive session takes place on Saturday, November 16 at Steps Studios in Shoreditch, London.
Designed for dancers ready to move beyond patterns and styling, the workshop explores the foundational rhythms behind salsa and mambo—including Cha Cha Chá, Guajira, Boogaloo, Son-Cha, and Bolero. Participants will learn how to identify, interpret, and dance to these styles with authenticity and confidence.
Led by internationally acclaimed instructor Alexistyle (Guatemala/Norway) and Norwegian dance artist Iselin, this workshop offers a unique blend of cultural insight and musicality training. Expect a rhythm-rich experience filled with lightbulb moments, guided movement, and a deeper connection to the music.
The workshop runs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Early bird tickets are available for £50 until October 31, followed by £60 advance and £70 at the door. Space is limited—early booking is highly recommended.
After the session, attendees are invited to keep the energy going with informal social plans nearby, including dinner or dancing, time permitting.
