Editorial Review
Alberto's is a salsa staple in the Bay Area. Located in downtown Mountain View, Alberto's host Latin dance events every night of the week, with salsa on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, and bachata on Wednesdays.
Pantea, the instructor at Alberto's, has been teaching for over 20 years and knows how to break down dance patterns for beginners. The classes are a great way to learn some steps if you're newer and the social dancing usually picks up later in the evening.
Thursdays has typically been the best night for dancing, in my experience.
Alberto's usually draws a beginner/intermediate crowd that mostly dances On1. You'll find a lot of the local tech crowd coming to unwind after work as well as regular salseros. The music selection tends to be heavy on romantica if that's your jam.
The venue has a full bar, so there's plenty to drink to unwind between dances. There's plenty of parking nearby.
I've been going to Alberto's for years, and it's still one of my favorite socials in the South Bay/Peninsula, with a fun and beginner-friendly atmosphere.
